Creating Your Personal Mantra
In a fast-paced world filled with distractions and demands, finding moments of clarity and peace can be challenging. One powerful tool that can help ground you and foster a sense of purpose is a personal mantra. A mantra is more than just a phrase; it’s a verbal anchor that can guide your thoughts, emotions, and actions.
STEP 1: Identify
Consider what you'd like to receive from your mantra: how do you want to feel? What energy do you want to amplify in your life? Is there anything you'd like to change about yourself or your life? Make sure this goal is specific and achievable.
STEP 2: Flip the Script
Take what you've identified and turn any negatives into positive statements. For example, if you've identified that you'd like to change the amount of stress or chaos in your life, focus on bringing in peace and organization.
STEP 3: Write it
Write your mantra in the present tense. Start with phrases such as "I am," "I have," and "I welcome." This brings the reality of the change you'd like to make into the truth of the present. If you want more peace, you could write: "I am peaceful."
STEP 4: Speak it
Speak your mantra out loud in a safe place, as many times and as often as you
want or need. The more you say it and hear it, the more you believe it. The more you believe it, the more space you make in your life to bring in positive change. Let your mantra serve as a reminder of all that you are, all that you're grateful for, and everything you strive to be!
